Manufacturing Safety
Students assume the role of safety auditor and navigate an assembly line or a factory floor to tag a variety of hazards. Their goal is to find all the randomly generated hazards throughout the environment and correctly identify which category they belong to.
Risk Engr. and System Analytics
We have developed a set of VR simulations designed to teach and train technical concepts related to hazard identification and safety to risk engineers. The simulations consist of a first-person view of a manufacturing plant, a warehouse and an exterior walkthrough where users are tasked with identifying and taking virtual pictures of various safety violations that they encounter.
Metrology
We have created eight simulations related to metrology instruments including the ruler, outside, inside, and depth functions of the calipers, outside, inside and depth micrometers and the bevel gauge. Users are taken step-by-step through the process of taking precise measurements in the guided practice phase. The exercise phase tasks the user with repeating what they learned previously and taking measurement of randomly scaled objects.
Machining
This set of simulations allows the student to learn how to use a variety of machines commonly found in a manufacturing environment.
Basic Electricity
We have developed interactive simulations that train students in learning how to use a Multimeter, Ammeter and Voltmeter, via a simulated breadboard activity. Students in the circuitry simulation interactively create electrical circuits in various configurations with a battery and resistors, and measure the voltage and resistance in the circuit using the virtual tools in the simulation.
Electrical Vehicle Safety
We have worked with CAAT to develop four virtual reality based learning modules related to electric vehicles: High Voltage Disconnect Switches, High Voltage Checks, Battery Pack Removal, High Voltage Safety Gloves. Any electric vehicle training needs to contain information on working safely with high voltage.
FAA General
This project works closely works with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to ensure that the AMT curriculum aligns well with the FAA certification requirements to meet the job market needs. CA2VES worked closely with STAMP to provide subject matter expertise for online technology development and developed 29 virtual reality-based (both 2D and 3D) simulations.

Water Treatment Plant
We have designed a set of virtual simulations to teach and train Performance-Based Objectives related to the water treatment process. Six modules and a career video highlighting the importance of proper water treatment and potential career paths were incorporated into the system. Several modules allow the user to navigate a water treatment facility from a first-person perspective and includes instruction on how to identify safety hazards such as improper machine guards, electrical problems, and confined spaces.
Miscellaneous Simulations
Immersive virtual reality can be used to explain advanced topics to young students by actively engaging their full attention and imagination. This simulation was designed to help students visualize how much data they generate by doing basic internet activities.
Robotics Career Pathways
This simulation was designed to introduce students to career opportunities in robotics engineering.
