C2M2 joins the Technology & Innovation Task Force

Dr. Mashrur “Ronnie” Chowdhury, C2M2 Director, and Dr. Mizanur Rahman, C2M2 Assistant Director, met in Greenville, South Carolina on February 12, 2020, to participate in the Technology & Innovation Task Force meeting. C2M2 joined representatives from Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR), Greenville County, BMW, Carolinas Alliance 4 Innovation, Greenville city, and Zipit Wireless at the invitation of the Upstate Mobility Alliance to discuss congestion management via emerging connected and automated vehicle technology. Dr. Chowdhury gave an hour-long presentation on C2M2‘s research related to safety and congestion relief and then proposed to create a city-wide smart mobility plan for Greenville, South Carolina. C2M2 is excited to move forward with this task force and to participate in future collaborations with the shared goal to improve the mobility of people and goods in Greenville county.
