Dr. Mashrur “Ronnie” Chowdhury, C2M2 Director, and Dr. Mizanur Rahman, C2M2 Assistant Director, attended the 2020 Men of Color National Summit in Greenville, South Carolina March 3rd & 4th, 2020 to represent the Center and participate in outreach activities. The mission of the National Summit is to close the opportunity gap for African American and Hispanic males, from cradle to career. The topics covered at this year’s national summit include career and professional development, entrepreneurship, masculinity/personal identity, retention rates, graduation, and student achievement, and social/community engagement. Approximately 2,000 high school and college students, business professionals, educators, government officials and community leaders from around the country attended this summit. Many high school and college students visited the C2M2 table and showed their interest in a career in emerging transportation technologies.
