Tessellated Structural Architecture (TeSA) systems

Tessellations are repeating patterns of simple shapes.  Research at Clemson is investigating Tessellated Structural Architecture (TeSA) systems that combine the aesthetic and technical properties of tessellations and apply them as a lateral force resisting system for buildings. The TeSA system is intended to facilitate efficient construction, rapid repair, deconstruction and reuse, and architectural merit.  https://ascelibrary.org/doi/pdf/10.1061/%28ASCE%29AE.1943-5568.0000418
